In the DHR Store!

Mission Statement: To bring extreme music to a more commercial standard....not by changing the music, but by changing the industry! Label Overview: Dark Harvest Records was founded in 2006 by former Worst Case Scenario drummer, Daniel Paris. From touring and seeing so many unsigned bands that where just as good, if not better than alot of signed bands, Daniel decided to start his own label and give some of these bands the opportunity to reach a wider audience and another step up in the industry. In 2009 Dark Harvest Records absorbed well known death metal label Blunt Force Records. This added more experience and catalog to the DHR line. Blunt Force records was founded by Dying Fetus main man John Gallagher. After the Growth of Dying Fetus' popularity in the death metal scene John decided to let go of the label as time contraints would not allow him to properly handle the duties of the label. John then gave the rights of Blunt Force over to Dark Harvest Records. Dark Harvest absorbed the label and dropped the Blunt Force moniker. In 2011 Dark Harvest merged with close friends and allies NoEX Records bringing their experience in label management, producing and marketing to the team. This brought the two juggernauts together and is setting the company in the driver's seat for a rapidly evolving music industry. Innovative marketing, promotions, and media strategies, combined with decades of industry experience and a worldwide network of extreme metal bands makes Dark Harvest Records the metal label to watch in this new era. Dark Harvest Records has been building a great reputation based on the fact the label is run by musicians for musicians. The label takes pride in promoting acts that deserve more recognition and is partnering with them to advance them to bigger and better things in their careers. We are not a conventional label and therefore are not a fit for everyone. We are not focused on ownership and control. Our purpose is to create a network of people working together. Our artists are very independent and a portion of their success is in their hands. Dark Harvest Records makes money when we help you make money and only then. We have seen the scenario where band's are shocked to learn they owe labels thousands of dollars for meetings, events and items they never even knew happened. What we offer is simple and effective: Distribution - Physical and Digital distribution through our online store, major etailers, partner sites, wholesale division and other outlets. Promotions - Our team works to promote DHR and the bands on the label. We run magazine ads, internet marketing and other events. Also we push all the DHR artists to promote the other bands on the label. This creates a wide reaching network. Advice - We are industry veterans and have seen just about everything. At any time we help our artists make decisions, create new ideas and anything else they need. We are partners with our artists. We don't own our artists! Sponsors and Partners - We build a network of potential sponsors and partners and offer this to our bands. This includes endorsements, merch pricing and other items. We use the purchasing power of the label and our networks to find low prices on the things our bands need. Booking - We are not a booking agency. However we have worked booking for some major labels in the past and lend our assistance to bands booking tours. Also we seek out major events, festivals and large tour opportunities and offer them to our bands. We also encourage our artists to work with the DHR family and create effective and easy tour routes by touring in towns where other DHR bands perform and perform shows there together. This way each band has a "local" partner as they go to new towns. This has proven very effective. Honesty – We pride ourselves on being straight up with our artists. Whether the news is good or bad, we let them know everything that is going on with the label. We don't run the label to make tons of money, we do it for the love of the music and the scene. That is why we personally listen to every artist that submits material and we also go out and seek new artists we feel strongly about. With that said... we hope to work with new artists who have the drive and determination to advance in the industry. We look forward to building "together" with our artists , not on our own. " The scene is what counts in the underground, artists networking with other artists." "We are not just some label, WE ARE ARTISTS!"
