   Dark Harvest Records is proud to announce the signing of MICHIGAN’S LAID IN STONE!

 

Laid In Stone formed in late 2009 in the town of Oxford, Michigan, by TrentHeichel (guitars) and brothers Kyle (bass) and

Danny (drums) Cummings. Soon after, the trio recruited their high school friend and local vocalist Chad Rice, and set about taking Laid In Stone to the top of the metal world.

The band hit the ground running.Without their line-up finalized and a mere two months before embarking on a self-organized and financed three month US tour, they took to the studio to laydown the first of two independent EPs.

They quickly gained credit in their local scene by performing with many national acts;

Mushroomhead, Before The Fallen Dreams, Arsonists Get All The Girls, As They Sleep, etc.

On their first full U.S. tour Laid In Stone sold 1000 cds hand to hand. This  caught the attention of producer Don Debiase (beneath the sky, forever interror) who helped Laid In Stone with Their 2011 Ep “The Perception of Power”.

This EP emphasized songwriting inplace of metal's more common thrash focus, and prompted Tinderbox Music owner Jon Delange to work on landing the group several contracts with major T.V. shows like MTV’s Fantasy Factory and Nitro Circus.

While earning their stripes on the road, showcasing and developing their sound, Laid In Stone drew up plans for what was to become their full length debut, "Echoes Left Behind", at the end of 2011. The band was recruited for Artist Management through Distilled Entertainment and the band began recording soon after.

The album was recorded by Tony Gammalo (Chimaira, Straight line stitch) at Spider Studios in winter 2012. Laid In Stone next obtained an incredible mix by Matthew Hyde (Machine Head, As Ilay Dying), and the aid of Troy Glessner (War of Ages, August Burns Red) for mastering.

In June 2012, Laid In Stone released a music video for the album's title track,and officially announced the addition of long-time friend Jimmy Curtis to play bass, moving Kyle Cummings to rhythm guitar, and finalizing their lineup for the official release of "Echoes Left Behind."

Laid In Stone possess a unique and innovative approach to songwriting. A precision combination of heavy riffs, pounding bass, and hugely melodic choruses, with punishing vocal delivery and the kind of drums that hit your ears like a ton of bricks. At once forceful, yet totally engaging, expect no less than to be blown away by Echoes Left Behind.

Laid In Stone’s commitment, ambition and sheer hunger has never been stronger. With a slew of dates lined up in support of their impending release, these guys are ready to spend countless time on tour promoting their album and band.
